Additional Works

Robert DeLoach has taken a dramatic departure from his figurative work and moved into the abstract realm. He is conveying the essence of adaptability in the universe through colorful abstract paintings.

In the artists own words:
“This body of work is based on the concept that any given color is not what it is, but what it becomes in relation to the colors around it. I believe this principle of context and adaptability can be applied to any number of known systems. For example, an animal placed in a new habitat will both change to fit into the new system and it will change the system. Everything is defined by its environment, which is in turn, defined by its components.

I am creating an environment with colors that are harmoniously balanced and rely upon one another to exist. Within the macrocosm of each painting exists innumerable microcosmic relationships; any arrangement of dots expressed in rows, columns, or other variable groupings can be separated to construct their own meanings. The new relationships created interact to express a range of emotions or feelings that constantly change, and to which we can all relate.”- Robert DeLoach
